Well I doubt my DS6 public school would allow online courses done in class.
You must ask. And maybe many, many times.
If the teacher & principal say no, ask "why not?"
If still no acceptable answer, contact the district & find out who is in charge of GATE (or equiv.) curriculum, and if no such person, then "standard" curric.
What helped me is that the district had it in their "approved" GATE curriculum. And, DS had been using at home for two years, which resulted in top scores on their beloved end-of-year standardized testing.
