Well, not everyone! There are quite a few of us around the forum who are homeschooling. And in my community, there are several homeschool groups that are bursting at the seams with people. I didn't know these groups existed when my child was in public school. But a quick Internet search found two of the four groups that I know of in town. The other two required that I be part of the homeschooling community before I could find them.
I'm not saying you should homeschool (or not!) since I don't know you or your child. But I am saying that dismissing it as an option because of what "everybody" thinks is probably not necessary. Do a little research if you're interested. You might be surprised at how many people in your area not only aren't against it, but are actively practicing homeschooling!
