Aha... I wonder if it would be a bit easier for you down here, but I doubt it, though yes we are SO lucky to be in this school, as competitive as it may be around here.
They actually showed "The Race to Nowhere" at the school and said "parents of college-bound kids are encouraged to attend!" LOL! Dear parents, you are officially being asked to chill the heck out.
We can't buy here yet but are renting. I'm applying for a second job to save up for a down payment. I went through a divorce a couple of years ago and depleted all the savings I had left over from the recession (still worth it!). I really feel for you. Best of luck!
