Thanks so much, these are all helpful comments. Deep in my heart of hearts, I feel like the OT will not help. However, I would like to try it again.
It is really a mess for him. It is now affecting his math because he doesn't want to show his work (more writing). He's reached the limit of the math he can do in his head and then he guesses.
It's so discouraging. He does want to do well and it bothers him so much that others can write with such little effort. His reading level through STAR was just tested at grade 7.5 and he is in 4th grade. He is getting a C in reading because of the writing!
