Did you consciously have a plan the grab the 3 pennies for your collection? Would you have accepted 3 pennies for a different source if you say, found them on the street in February, or did they HAVE to be from the Pinata? Was it a tremendous release the finally have reached your goal?

I totally would've accepted 3 pennies from any source, though I had just counted my pennies the night before, so the pinata was the perfect opportunity and I was thinking about consciously while everyone was taking their turn hitting it. It just felt "good" to complete my goal. That was it. I wrapped up my 80th roll of pennies that night and then continued on as if nothing had changed. But it was nice to have something complete without anything over for just a day.

My DH is a SJ, and also experiences numbers in a way similar to how I experience visual art. We celebrate all the 'fun' dates on the calendar because he notices them. I'm happy if I know the day of the week! I'm not really sure which Letter of MBTI is involved with 'tasting numbers' but I'll let you know if I figure out anything.

My husband is similar to this. He keeps me in check on all the important stuff that my dominating 'N' seems to miss. It's nice having someone else pay attention to the calendar. If it weren't for him, we'd have a lot more of those pesky late fees I keep wracking up! laugh

"She says that ES activities should allow students to hear themselves say something out loud or bounce an idea off someone else. This makes the classroom noisier but the noise is more like a constant hum than disruptive outbursts."

Now I think I'm just looking for ways to not let the hubby's annoying habits drive me crazy. He suggests for me to do stuff right when I've just started doing it and often tells me step by step how to do everyday stuff. It used to make me mad until I read the difference between visual-spatial and audio-sequential and thought, maybe he really does think out silly steps like that all the time. Then it didn't make me mad anymore. Now this "personality types" thing lead me to read that his type E with S does well when they can hear themselves bounce their ideas off a partner.

    * note to self- do not say "you like to hear yourself talk" to show him you understand and care about his feelings.

Hahaha - probably not the best way to win him over!

You're a P sweetie pie - A J would have known exactly how many pennies were in the collection and would have felt very uncomfortable while waiting for those pennies to drop!

Even an NJ, who has no S,showing would still have enough S to know how many pennies where in that collection, as S is always going to be either the 3rd or 2nd strength - not 'dead last' like for us NPs. That's the beauty of J.

Yes - but us NPs love the big picture. I have the perfect profile for the work I do. Somebody who can go from big picture to small and back without any hesitation. If I focused too much on counting my pennies, I would miss the big picture that there are nickels and dimes too!

So - it's annoying that I can't track the dates on the calendar without my little Outlook reminders, but I love having the advantages I do have as an NP. We have our own beauty too. smile

It totally takes all kinds to run a community.

Oh Yes - srry - I was assuming that all of us NPs naturally know that we are the best way to be and wouldn't trade it for any other type - as much as we might enjoy have folks of other types around to help out with the late fee.

I expect, and certainly hope, that all the other types feel exactly the same way.

I've had fun with this thread. I was an INFJ, and I found it really amusing that almost all of the careers I have tried or seriously investigated were on the recommended list in that link HK posted.

I want to know which type I am if the mispelling in the thread title drives me crazy! whistle Or are there other terms for that?

Thank you so much for making feel better about my anal retentiveness. It is actually making me feel itchy to look at the mispelling!
