Great Pinata Story! That is a lot of 'J' for a P to have, but it a way, how P is it to want to experience every nuance of having a collection, including the feeling of having an large, entirely round, number of coins. A J would be 'more anxious' until the goal was reached and 'return to a more relaxed state' after achieving it. How did you feel while waiting for the Pinata? Did you consciously have a plan the grab the 3 pennies for your collection? Would you have accepted 3 pennies for a different source if you say, found them on the street in February, or did they HAVE to be from the Pinata? Was it a tremendous release the finally have reached your goal?
I totally would've accepted 3 pennies from any source, though I had just counted my pennies the night before, so the pinata was the perfect opportunity and I was thinking about consciously while everyone was taking their turn hitting it. It just felt "good" to complete my goal. That was it. I wrapped up my 80th roll of pennies that night and then continued on as if nothing had changed. But it was nice to have something complete without anything over for just a day.
My DH is a SJ, and also experiences numbers in a way similar to how I experience visual art. We celebrate all the 'fun' dates on the calendar because he notices them. I'm happy if I know the day of the week! I'm not really sure which Letter of MBTI is involved with 'tasting numbers' but I'll let you know if I figure out anything.
My husband is similar to this. He keeps me in check on all the important stuff that my dominating 'N' seems to miss. It's nice having someone else pay attention to the calendar. If it weren't for him, we'd have a lot more of those pesky late fees I keep wracking up!
