What did turn out to be the best toy(s) from the holidays that the kids can't put down?
For us it was definitely the 3ds, very cool, Keva contraptions were a hit, and 'just dance 2' - our dd5 has been dancing for 4 or 5 hours today it seems like!

Butter (DD8) Thames and Konos C500 Chemistry Set-can't do this with little sister in the house, but when we bust it out...look out! lol! magnifying glass (from the dollar store) French English dictionary acoustic AND electric guitars all manner of art and drawing supplies (high quality ones) Legos (primary colors) oh and a one piece sleep outfit with hood and zipoff booties that strongly resembles the famous rabbit outfit from A Christmas Story. But she loves it and looks cute, heehee
The Diva (DD4y9.5mo) DS lite (because she doesn't know there's anything fancier, lol) Crayola coloring book that you add a picture of yourself into Fancy Nancy fancy wrist ribbons craft Legos (pink)
We also got Just Dance 2 and Just Dance Kids. Haven't gotten them out yet, but the kids can't wait to try!
I get excited when the library lets me know my books are ready for pickup...

For DD9 it is her iPod touch and her art desk.
For DS3 it is his Lionel Polar Express train set. He doesn't want to leave the house for fear it will miss him while he is gone.

Plush red plaid bathrobe for Wyatt, pink doll stroller for Espers. Everything was a hit too- the battleship playset, "pouring science" (flask, beakers, tubes, and colored water), and a bird hunting rifle game for the wii-fun for the whole family!

For DS9, the Wii and requisite Mario games -- yes, I know we're behind the curve on that, but that's ok. He's been talking nothing but 3DS for months, but we wanted something that wouldn't just be for him. He got over it very quickly upon tearing the wrapping off the Wii box!
For DD5, the Pillow Pets and Happy Nappers, and the Hello Kitty Squinkies. We hadn't fallen prey to Squinkies yet, but when I felt the first one, I immediately understood their necessity. They are awesome little squishy things!
