Yes, my dd12 took the ACT as an 8th grader this year b/c that's the grade she's in. Like the pp said, the percentile you get on the score report compares the child to 8th graders for the EXPLORE and high school kids for tests like the SAT and ACT. The only area where being grade accelerated is a disadvantage, per se, is when a child is hoping for an award from talent search. Grade skipped kids are compared to kids in their current grade, not kids of the same age.
