I have a list of over 400 books my son read last year from Oct 10 to May 30, which is most of his 2nd grade year. They range from short ones like : Flat Stanley by Brown, Judy Moody by McDonald to The Secret Garden by hodges,Poppi and Rye by Avi, and Cricket in times square by Selden. Most are the shorter. He would usally find a series and read all of them. When he ran out to books for the week he usally read his sister's 7 or 8 for the week, unless it had Dora the explore on it.
Is This good DYS stuff? Many are probally age level. I do think this is alot.
Anybody want a copy of suggested readings for their boy?
