Anyone know a good resource for explaining evolution to a six year old??
Anything by David Attenborough. Seriously, DS5 loved the DVDs of Life on Earth from first viewing, aged 4, and it's good on evolution. Or for a more direct exposition of natural selection, his Darwin and the Tree of Life is also great. DS also enjoys Richard Dawkins' The Genius of Charles Darwin, and it's provoked a lot of interesting and useful discussion in our house, but be aware that this is more about the reactions to Darwin than about the biology, and Dawkins is not to everyone's taste!
