We were walking to DD6's dance recital dress rehearsal today when we saw a father and son riding bikes around on the street. I was expecting a lecture from DD about how they were being unsafe because they didn't have helmets on. However, she completely caught me off guard when she slowed down and said "Hmf - now that is not appropriate at all. You shouldn't be riding around town without a shirt on, what are they thinking?" This led to a discussion about it being ok for males to not wear a shirt, but not for females. To which she said "Well, I still do not think it is appropriate to show everyone in town your body without a shirt on."
