Does anyone here have any experience with this day camp? Is it worth the time and money? We sent our dd to a day camp last year for fun and plan to do the same this year. This looks incredible but it costs 2x as much as other camps in the area. We just want to be sure it is really as wonderful as it reads on the website before committing!

Varies widely by location. My son was very dissapointed back many years ago. Id try to find someone local to ask.

I'm not sure why, but my kids have loved it when they've done it, but haven't wanted to go back. (Actually, DS-now-12 did it for 2 years, but not back-to-back.) A one-and-done situation, and I'm not sure why. They love the making-stuff-out-of-recycled-materials aspect, but I suspect the other stuff isn't challenging or new to them (e.g., one unit focused on vikings, which is something they already know something about) and they'd rather have unstructured time at home than structured time at day camp.

I agree with Grinity that you should find somebody local to talk to. I think a ton of it depends on the enthusiasm of the teachers and director. If the leaders seem enthusiastic I say it's worth a shot. Like I said, my kids loved it when they were doing it. HTH!

She thought she could, so she did.
