Many times in many situations, the best advice you get on here is to follow your Mommy gut. I have found that for the most part this is really sound advice. I also believe that when you get an idea, a nagging persistant idea that your mommy gut agrees with, you need to take your own advice.
Although there are many books on all things gifted, as a general rule, they are written with technical content. "How to", "When to" and "What do I do?" seem to be common titles. There are books on testing and OE's and perfectionism. The list goes on and on.
What I propose is something very different. I'd like to compile a book of stories about our kids. Real personal stories about what life is like living with these amazing kidlets. In order to make you really understand what i'm after, I created a blog inmypgworld.wordpress.com which contains a full explanation.
We all encourage our kids to follow their passions, I feel like I need to model that behavior for my own. If I won't take the time to do something I believe in why should they?
Please take the time to read my blog. It won't cost you anything except a little time and it would mean the world to me if you agree to participate. So far, 4 people have agreed to help including our own Kriston and Carolyn K (Mrs. Hoagie)
Thanks Tons!!

For the purposes of your book, how do you define PG?

This nook is intended for anyone who feels like they are living on the island of "Whoville". Many HG+ kids have the same issues. If you feel like your life is dictated in large part by your child, then write me a letter.

Thamks, JJSMom! Let me know if you can't get to it and I'll cut and paste it to an e-mail for you.

That's a cool book idea, I'd love to read it when you're done! DD is probably too young for this to be very meaningful for her at this point but I look forward to reading the other letters.

Hi Shari,
Could you give a little guidelines on what you are looking for as candidates? It sounds like a fun project and I would love to offer a letter to you, but I really don't know if you are looking for older kids who are identified as PG. My DD is not quite 4 yet and though we feel comfortable claiming HG+; we certainly don't feel comfortable with the PG title since we haven't tested her. No hard feelings if you limit your group but just want more specifics on it so I and some others (I'm sure) won't be wasting our time.
BTW: still going to bookmark your blog and actively visit it. Love your idea of the book!
