I just wanted to say a hello to everyone. I used to be here awhile back then life got crazy and I stopped lurking/posting. But life is getting back on track and I'm hoping to be back regularly now. I see lots of familiar names and some new ones. Glad the community is growing strong!

My DS, MrWiggly, is 9 now. We are homeschooling both him and his sister, DD5 (6 in August) who has asked that I call her "Rosalinda"(LOL!). My DH did the schooling all last year while I worked full time (VERY full time in a job too demanding for our family). But now I am living my dream....have quit the job, taken over the homeschooling and opening up my own OT clinic! Exhilarating and scary at the same time! DH seems relieved and is ramping up his business again now that he no longer has the "Mr. Mom" role to fill!

I've only done 6 weeks of HS in the late spring. Gearing up to get started again and get the kids back on track. We missed a lot of schooling last year as my mother-in-law passed away and required lots of care in the months prior to passing in January. Life's been a roller coaster! DS has gotten used to too much TV, computer games and video games. He is most definitely a teen in a 9 y/o body. And he still hasn't learned how to learn.....very distressing how his time in school was somewhat wasted. Hopefully this upcoming year will be a great one for all of us.

Well, that's all for now. Just wanted to say hi and hope that someone here remembers me... smile

Welcome back Debbie. I don't think you have anything to worry about in reference to being remembered. Sounds like you have had a very hectic time for sure but here is to hoping that your dream job and life remains that way. smile Sorry to hear about your MIL. That is always tough and hard on everyone involved.

Welcome back! Sounds like we're living parallel lives. I'm homeschooling a 9 year old son, and my daughter just turned 6. My daughter has requested we call her Diana, after the goddess. crazy

When fall rolls around we set a no TV or video games before 3 pm rule, or until school work is done, whichever comes last. It's worked well for us! I wish I would have kept that rule in place all summer. I'm sure you'll have a great year!

Welcome back Debbie! I'm glad things are looking up; sounds like a rough year. Sorry about your MIL. Yay for your new business!

I started back to work last fall so don't find a lot of time for this board. And I do miss it!

Glad to have you back. smile

    Hi Debbie,

It's good to see you back. I hope everything goes well for you, DS9, and Rosalinda. My DD5 will be 6 in August, too. She likes to try out new names, too.
