I am getting a little freaked out. I received an email this morning saying that my hotmail account request for a new password had been received. I never requested a new pw. Now my computer has lost all it's "history". Nothing shows in the drop down and all my bookmarks are lost. What could be going on?

It could just be spam or something. I would go into your account details the regular way and see what is up. Change your password too.

Probably a fake website set up to gather people's information. I've seen these types of emails for banks, ebay, and paypal. The best rule of thumb is to consider it spam if you know you didn't request the information sent and just delete it, but if you did go to the site, definitely go in to your hotmail account and change your password immediately. Also, just in case the email was also viral, update your antivirus software and run a full scan on your PC.
