I think this is also a problem with schools. I've read several reports of a school not being impressed w/ a WISCIV score in the 140s FSIQ...they are used to thinking of the old numbers. Don't even start talking GAI to them and their heads explode.
If you look under Resources, there is a thread about gifted webinars at U. of California Extension services. The 4th talk in that series explains the difference between old numbers and new. If you can't find it, I'll look it up later.
As far as books on giftedness, just check the publication date.
