    I think you're on to something here Val, perhaps us Ugly Americans would view some of the European methods of education as too radical.

    Big wave to Kcab overseas!! This is me,,,envious! : sick--not sick, just green! wink

    I think there are a lot of people looking at this thing shaking their heads thinking that there has to be a better way. It's just too big, IMO.

    Our family has decided to take on some of the responsibility for our children's education. If you were a fly on the wall in my house, I'd guess you'd see something more akin to what you would see in Europe based on Kcab's description.

    David Brooks wrote a depressing column on practice and IQ today. Like so many other advocates of phony egalitarianism, he completely misses the point.
