Just demonstrates, IMHO, that the first test is a number to guide you in providing appropriate opportunities for the child to learn, whichever test.
I've come to think along the lines of what was suggested to me when I first started posting here!
Over a few years, our children will start consistently behaving in a way that makes LOG easier to understand. Keep providing them with the opportunities that seem to make sense to you and that they respond positively to.
They will "tell" you the rest along the way.

I wouldn't be expecting to get it all "right" myself, though, the manual hasn't seem to have been published yet.
