Looking for someone who specializes in gifted kids that can get to know your whole child and help you find the right schools (middle and high school)?

If there were a broad range of schools available vying for the opportunity to meet the educational needs of gifted kids, the world would be a better place. Unfortunately many gifted kids do not find that a school in which they are placed will continue to meet their needs throughout middle school and high school. On the forums, it is often mentioned that the ideal "best-fit" may not exist... one may need to look for the "least-worst" fit.

That said, the Davidson Institute for Talent Development (DITD), which provides this forum, offers other services including:
    - Davidson Young Scholars (DYS), program including consultation
    - Davidson Academy (in Reno, Nevada)
    - Davidson Academy Online Campus

This old post may also be of interest.

Here is a brief roundup on school selection and the right "fit":

    - observations or signs that a child is not appropriately challenged... advocacy may be needed and may be overdue
