'Harry Potter' Star Daniel Radcliffe Reveals He Suffers From Neurological Condition

I thought this was interesting, here's an excerpt:
    Quote
"Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe has revealed he suffers from dyspraxia, a neurologically based disorder that gives the 19-year-old trouble tying his shoelaces.

Thank you for posting this. I have been trying to find stories about successful people who happen to have dyspraxia and I had not found any yet. The fact that the article is about an actor really helps us too. My son was thinking of giving up musical theatre because of a teacher who does not seem to understand his difficulty with learning difficult dances as fast as other kids even though I have tried to explain it to her. Like Daniel Radcliffe, my son does not "look" like he would have a problem like this and the dyspraxia does not affect his speech or language skills. One thing I always found strange was that my son could mimic people's mannerisms, which is probably an important skill for any actor, but it looks like this would require as much motor planning as dancing and tying shoes.

Yes - thanks for sharing! I think he does an incredible job in the Harry Potter movies. And he always sounds so humble and down to earth when interviewed.

Is anyone else bitter they are delaying the release of the next Harry Potter movie until next summer, or am I just blatantly displaying my geekiness?

I don't watch/read Harry Potter but I know a lot of the kids here, do. I saw that article and immediately thought of Lori's son, especially with the acting ability. I'm glad it was a useful link for some.
