Hello, I'm looking to find some other twice exceptional families for support in my area. We live in Northwest NJ.

If you have any gifted groups in your area, that might be a good place to start. Or try posting on GHF (Gifted Homeschooler Forum); they are primarily homeschoolers, but that might be enough to get hooked in to your local 2e community.

may sound weird, but these are the areas where I find the best people for my kids to hang out with, and yes, many times that means other 2es (quirky and briliant):

    - musical theater
    - comic and other gaming conventions (though we met the folks who introduced us to conventions via musical theater/costuming. There is crossover there with cosplay -- which is not as 'fringe' as it may seem to some, it is usually just good fun dress up and costuming contests).

Anyway, that has been my best bet so far for finding folks who get along with my children.
