Hello all, does anyone have any success stories and/or advice on getting an IEP for 2e students in the great state of California?
My DD9 was accepted into a public gifted school (big sigh of relief) for the fall. We are hoping for scribing written materials and audio books for reading materials. At least, that takes the fumbling over the mechanics of suspected dysgraphia and dyslexia out of the curriculum.
The very well informed and helpful educational psychologist I spoke with today said, "IEP for 2e is not going to happen," but I am not one to give up. Somebody has to push these things through...
Has someone already had success?
