    Here's is a link to an article that states the US Dept of Ed is now encouraging schools to use the terms "dyslexia," "dysgraphia," and "dyscalculia" in IEPs.

    I would not exactly say "encouraging." More like "making it clear that schools are not forbidden to use these terms."

    This is progress, though-- some schools had stonewalled people with these diagnoses because they weren't specifically noted as "allowed." Now they are clearly allowed.

    These "Dear Colleague" letters are a great resource.
