Cola, no advice, but offering support. I am so sorry you and your DS are going through this.

What a truly dreadful outcome. Sending prayers and positive thoughts your way.

Please do contact your prescribing physician and ask for a referral to someone who specializes in child psychiatry.

It sounds to me that he needs help regardless of the cause.

Spoke with the dr and they are taking it seriously. He is to stop the medication asap and they are contacting the neuropsych for all paperwork. If he mentions it again im to take him straight to phoenix childrens hospital. He had a good day today and was happy and cheerful so im not as terrified but hes now dealing with insomnia frown

Well done Cola. A very scary situation but I am so very glad your doctor is taking it seriously and you have a plan for emergencies.

The Canadian government has recently increased the warnings on many ADHD medications because of the link with suicidal thoughts. While thoughts are far more common than action it is just so wise of you to take such an appropriate path.

You are doing all the right things. Keep up the surveillance, make sure any people he spends time with apart from you know to watch him closely. With good fortune it will settle down.

Thinking of you and wishing you all the best in a difficult time.
