The fight between inquiry based / constructivist math curriculum and more traditional ones has been raging ever since.

But I have been pretty unimpressed by our district's choice of math curriculum. And so was DD's teacher this year. eta: And I recently learned that our district is moving Algebra I to 9th grade.
