    No, I think most of us do! It's part of what makes this place interesting. One has to remember that it's easy for our emotionally powerful analogies to be mistaken, though. I remember one occasion early in DS's education when DH and I each felt a strong analogy with our childhoods, but they were incompatible - we couldn't both be right.

    Must say, though, for me a more puzzling and positive phenomenon is the way child-me envies DS!

    Ditto that, here.

    Caught my jeaous younger self having the seven miles uphill both ways discussion with DS the other day; mentioning how when I was seven I had finished my math workbook one month into school and that was all the math I got for the whole year.
