Am I the only 'POGO' that gets 'flashbacks' to their own childhoods when they read about the experiences of other gifted children from other parents and see their own offspring going through a lot of the things that they themselves went through?
No, I think most of us do! It's part of what makes this place interesting. One has to remember that it's easy for our emotionally powerful analogies to be mistaken, though. I remember one occasion early in DS's education when DH and I each felt a strong analogy with our childhoods, but they were incompatible - we couldn't both be right.
Must say, though, for me a more puzzling and positive phenomenon is the way child-me envies DS!
