What I remember most ... is this sense that I was never "present". There was another old thread from recent months on this forum where someone mentioned they don't remember much, perhaps a lot of it was blocked.

I don't remember much either, but I remember often thinking that I did not exist and that I was not "here". I did have a very tough time at school... I could say I was mostly not "present' there either.

I sense of hiding of oneself because it was not acceptable to be you.

    Thoughts?

that sounds like my oldest son last year before we pulled him out of K for homeschool. He only told his therapist this after nearly 8 months of therapy. now he is definitely here and alive and totally present and its wonderful to see!
