Interesting khan video of a "mathy" 6th grader doodling and commenting on his 6th grade math class.

I was looking at Khan academy and came across this in the cs area. I just wanted to share it b/c after reading many posts here about mathy kids who are bored to death in math class I thought you would enjoy this video. The boy is a 6th grader doodling a tree generator while describing how boring his math class is. Its sooo funny listing to his comments about the curriculum and teaching methods. Its also interesting listening to his mathematical talent. A program to generate a tree is also included. And of coarse khan offers many areas of study that a bunch of kids from this forum would probably like.

Hi- love the video, too, but the one you linked to is Vi Hart, who is definitely not a 6th grader. She has a wonderful series of videos, now on Khan but also originally on YouTube. She's young, but an adult smile. If you liked this one, you should view her other work. Our kids love her stuff.

OMG sorry I was searching for math and computer science info for middle school when I found this video. I somehow thought it was an advanced 6th grade student. Searching again I'm not sure how I did this. What caught my attention, other than the wonderful math doodles, were the "enthusiastic" comments about how boring a math class could be for a student, and the idea that the course might be stressing unimportant points. I have seen both of these opinions stated here many times and thought how supportive. I have not watched her other videos yet, but I plan to.
