    Teasing out the whether traits are related to giftedness and/or something else can be very tricky, since giftedness by itself doesn't rule those other things out or in, and it can often be confused with them. I'd make sure that any professionals who evaluate your child are familiar with Misdiagnosis and Dual Diagnosis of Gifted Children and Adults .

    Thank you for sharing. My DD also has an issue with her vision. She has a slight outward turn of her left eye when she gets tired, is sick, or when her eyes get fatigued. Your post has been the kick in the butt I needed to make an appt with a COVD optometrist to see how her eyes are working together when she reads.
