Hi, thanks!
it is a full day program, but they get a nap (which she mostly doesn't like, but I think she still needs a few naps a week). I really have not got a good handle on subject acceleration for her, since it is still K, and the school has a 'let the child decide what is important to learn' sort of philosophy. She will be going to the regular public e.s. in the fall. She has progressed well with her letters and numbers and that sort of thing, so I am feeling confident about the move to 1st.
When she is at home she loves a lot the stuff you'd expect for a four, painting, singing dancing (very big on the dancing and singing). If we put on music she will dance for a good while, like her brother. The one sort of stand out for her, besides being highly highly verbal, is her interest in science. In particular she LOVES space. She has gotten a bit off the subject in the last few weeks but for a while she would only let me read science books, and then mostly ones about space, planets, and some of them were really up there grade level wise, so I didn't / don't know what to make of it. But I think she is taking a bit of a break in that, maybe to do with really learning to read.
Now the focus is back on regular kids' stories, everything from arthur to harry potter.
