This is also true of kids with ADHD- so it is good to figure out if it is just motivation or is it ADHD.

My DSister49 (verbally PG and very spiky profile very much like my DS10) also said that gifted kids are often lower on PSI and WM because they do better with meaningful material. However, this said, I'm pretty sure my DS10 has lower scores in these areas partly because he is not very good at sequencing (nor am I, I have to sing the alphabet to look up a word in the dictionary and am quite sure I would do very poorly on the digits backward score)
