I'd be happy to share experiences with homeschooling (thru our local K-12 charter). I am just now running into problems with DS's age not matching his grade level, hence our interest in DYS.
We aren't sure whether to accelerate or not (he's a pretty immature 13 y/o in 7th gr.) since it was a non issue in prior grade levels. Most of his desired elective classes are geared for 9th gr.+ and his charter is being very strict with this policy.
