I ended up calling the Texas Education Agency and the local school district. Unfortunately, both gave the answer as "most likely not" because "a student must attend >90% for the school to receive funding from the state." I have not completely given up yet and am searching the web. But, we are looking for some other options.

As for grade skipping, in Texas, I do believe that students are entitled to "credit by examination." Just need to check for the dates offered.

We thought about grade skipping, but my kids have uneven development. They have good brains for certain areas (math and reading and board games), but areas like writing are on par with their peers. Then, there is always the social and emotional aspects.....
