I would consider the school even with the knowledge this might be a solution for a year or two. It would give your children an opportunity form friendships with GT kids that would last beyond the school. Also, your children could advance and show proficiency in several subjects that would hopefully help with math placement once they would return to their former school.
Not sure if you are in Ohio, but this schools like the one I am considering for DS4 for Kindergarten. Ohio schools are supposed to start mandatory full day Kindergarten, but our school has requested a waiver. DS would go from 4 hour pre-k to 2.5hr kindy and I would rather enroll him in a all day charter gifted school (provided that he tests similar to DD).
