Mmm, better then I check that she is taking the pencil properly and sits properly etc. Better safe than sorry.

I am sure you are fine with writing. My DS would write letter "I" starting at the bottom, or he would write "O" the other direction. Why I never corrected that is beyond me. I guess I didn't want to be bothered by that and thought that at least he would have something to learn in school.
Netherlands is a nice place to live so I was told. My husband went there for quite a few business trips.
