Oh I remembered something this morning that I think may have been one of the first times DH and I looked at each other and went 'is that normal'- we were shopping for a car and had been working our way down the yards that were all down one main street in town, it had just started raining and we sat for a minute to see if it would pass before getting out to have a look round when DS (about 3 at the time) piped up with, "do you see that shop over the road with the dog on the roof?", yes we said, "do you know why it has a dog on the roof?", ummm - no love why? "that's a form of advertising - to attract people inside to see all the animals and things for sale". We were floored.

And talking of advertising, we really should be careful what we let him watch, although I think he may save our skin one day. We were in the car and he pipes up with "you have a stone-chip in the windscreen you really should get Smith&Smith out to fix it, they will do it for free and their phone no is 0800 ........". I can't even remember the number now. He also knows the number for the AA, and numerous insurance companies!
