Since there isn't any accepted definition of PG, it's hard to know if you've got one. Being accepted to Young Scholar's Program (YSP) is one way. The best way to find out if your child will get into the YSP is to apply. I really like the book 'Losing Our Minds: Gifted Children Left Behind' by Deborah Ruf for stories about many kids who fall along the range of giftedness.
