In some ways it's just like any other school. Look at the pleasure books and text books the kids are reading and learning from. Try to witness one of their 'group meetings' when the kids actually have to decide something, if they will let you. The model is fasinating, but for our kids there is a world of difference between the theory and the practice. Are the adults there (and the dominant kids, in this case) able to concieve that a child might have a need to learn, and an ability to learn at the level your kids do?
Try to engage the staff in some conversations about 'far out there in the smarts department' kids. Have they ever loved a giftie before? Ask about their experience with school as a young person.

good luck,
Grinity
