Yep, I got the yips. The long summer holidays have been so wonderful. Miss 4 is feeling confident, competent, cheeky and curious. Her anxiety levels are way, way down and she's now writing at her own initiative. This morning she drew a rabbit dreaming of a carrot, with lovely thought bubbles *sigh*. And her reading has sky-rocketed. Miss 7 too is thriving. She loved the summer reading challenge and her glasses have made a BIG difference to the type (and difficulty) of library books she's been choosing. They've both really enjoyed doing risk-taking activities - like swimming and diving and generally just having fun!!! But with less than a week to go, I feel a case of the yips comin' on...

Both girls will grade skip. This has been discussed and sorted with the outgoing principal but not with the individual teacher. I'm not sure when to set up the first parent-teacher meeting without coming across as a nutcase!

*sigh* Any cures for yips?
