I agree! I love that it wasn't a feel-good speech, but a call to action. My biggest complaint about America over the past decade+ is that we're coasting. Apathy reigns. We as a country are generally not willing to do the hard thing even when it's the right thing to do. We're all about the short-term, not the long-term.
I love that he said that there are things that have to change and that *we're* going to have to change them, not him. We, the American people, are going to have to make sacrifices and make hard choices about a LOT of things. I think that's true about so many things, and I've been DYING for someone to say it for years and years! Don't promise me the moon; tell me the truth!
Now let's hope something comes of it...
