My experience with stress has been that, in the throes of it, we tend to have dreams that exaggerate our fears, not ones where things turn out well. This may well be one that is given to you for encouragement. I just joined the forum yesterday, as a researching writer, but also as the mom of a 27 yr. old who went through a horrible public school experience. I would like to encourage whenever I can.
To destress, I: get out and do a hobby. I act, read, write. Metal detecting for old coins clears my head and burns calories. I read voraciously. I pray a lot. I jog. (works our tension) During the horrible years, my husband and I made sure we went out once a week without the kids. Or I'd meet him for lunch while they were in school.
