so, finally ..................
DS7's school has started the computer program .... but instead of starting him out where he left of last year, they have started him at his grade level- 3rd.................................which is a complete waste of time.
And then they finally started the "Enrichment pull-out program" that is specially designed for him.... they have him working with a special ed teacher and he is working with the remedial 5th graders...... on math and ela. Today was day 1 (yeah, the end of sept...... I am keeping a cool head) the work sounded like 3rd grade work......
Here is some background on DS7. He works at a fifth grade level pretty much across the board these days except in speed and emotion. So he can't really go into the class with the fifth graders. So they skipped him to 3rd this year.
it seems like they have forgotten that he works on a fifth grade level....
His principal is coming back tomorrow so I can get her to sign the financial aid form so he can take the SCAT test for John Hopkins. And I am getting a portfolio together for Davidson - I wish I would win the lottery then we would be in a better position....
