Hi acs,
BUT test scores are only good for 2 yrs (I thought) for summer institute qualification, so if he doesn't test again in 8th grade...did he already qualify for SET, 'cause that's another reason to test again.
It looks like *some* summer programs need scores to be less than 2 years old, but not all of them. I figure he doesn't need to test this year for summer programs since the scores from last year are good. If he decides he wants to do a summer program after 8th grade that requires a newer score, we can just do it in 8th.
His SAT did not qualify him for SET and based on his scores I think it would be a long shot even if we did try again. He is not a fast mover. Basically he does really well on the questions he answers, but he doesn't get through them all. I think that was stressful for him to know he could do it, but then run out of time. I think it's a reason to give him a break. He enjoyed it, but now that it has stopped being fun, I want to wait until he's into it before doing it again.
