You may want to Research it..but I think Prozac takes 25 days for it to be gone from ones system. So stopping it suddenly one would experience SSRI withdrawl symptoms and underlyng Psych issues could be amplified.
I thought that the long half-life of Prozac made it
easier to discontinue it, not harder, because it has sort of a built-in taper over the long time it takes to get totally out of your system. But you can get a lot of information on this by Googling "discontinuation syndrome antidepressant".
