He's only 8 and actually comes across like he's younger. He has various disability issues like dysgraphia (or borderline dysgraphia) and poor speech articulation/prosody. It's rather hilarious listening him to talk about something like the Crimean War when he pronounces words like "social studies" as "ShoSho studies". KWIM? So I don't know about putting him with high schoolers. It would be awesome if his school did the history bee. Maybe I'll ask about it.
