For ds7, We've had one extensive eval (for suspected ASD), one lengthy vision eval and gifted testing, and it has been our experience that even a vision eval can be useless unless the tester understands gifties. I know you are already looking for a tester on hoagies, just wanted to say yes, it's worth the trouble!
