I'm trying to decide between The Disappearing Spoon book and the Periodic Table playing cards. Anybody have either of them?

I have the disappearing spoon book and I really thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It was a page-turning pleasure to read, but you still felt like you learned something, ya know?

Just wanted to thank all of you for responding. I just ordered the puzzle and the books its based on (Theodore Gray's elements book). the puzzle was just what I wanted an the book looks so great.

Read the disappearing spoon. A terrific read.

We have the basher book. The graphics are great, and based on them I ordered a few others in the series. The periodic table one is the best, IMO.

I just bought this one a couple of days ago as one of the Christmas presents. I took a brief look and it seems to be really nice.

cool, this is in my cart at Amazon and wasn't sure about it...but I thought DS6 would love it.

Just popping back in here to say that the Gray book is really gorgeous and wonderful and I know my children will love it. Just great. The puzzle based on the book, however, is not that great looking. It's small. The box doesn't indicate how many pieces are int he puzzle, but the box itself is tiny, about twice the size of a deck of cards. I'll have to wait until the kids open it to see hwat I really think. At $30+ dollars I thought it would be more substantial--a 1000 piece high-quality type thing. We'll see. I do still appreciate the recommendation. I never would have found either of these on my own, so thank you.
