Is anyone familiar with the screening assessment for gifted elementary students? I am wondering what the ceiling on this test is. Thanks!

I'm not sure how our district determines who qualifies, and never really thought much about it since they really don't do anything other than qualify kids once they are in 4th grade. Then it is only a 1x per month pull out for an hour.

I got a letter saying my 4th grade son was given the SAGES (screening assessment gifted elementary students) as part of the second round of testing (the first round all 3rd graders took - the inview). And qualified based on that. When I called to get more information I was told he scored a 142 compared to "normal" and a 124 compared to "gifted." There were no percentages. I guess I was just wondering what that meant; the person on the phone seemed to have no idea other than he scored "well." Is the score related to an IQ? I am wondering if anyone is familiar with this test.
