*ROFL* These posts are hilarious! No overly large/small heads here, but a Halloween costume to share.
DS8 has been Harry Potter the last two years and wanted a change. He's decided to be a book, but he doesn't want his head and arms sticking out. He wants his face to look out of the illustration on the cover, and then for the cover to open and his face to be an illustration on the first page of the book. You know, something simple.
I'm having a little trouble helping him engineer the idea. We're going to try using a box with a hole cut out, hinged on the side so it swings open. And then on the inside of the box, in front of his body, we're thinking we can put a piece of poster board like the front page. We'll see how it works in real life.
This morning, DS cracked me up. He had told me the book was going to be Lord of the Rings, which he enjoyed but it isn't his favorite book. This past weekend, he devoured the new Rick Riordan book, The Lost Hero. This morning, I asked whether he'd prefer his costume picture that book. In his most exasperated voice, he said, "Mom, I will
NOT be a walking advertisement for some new book.
Everyone already knows Lord of the Rings, so
that will be different."
I love these kids!
Happy Haunting, everyone!
