DS21mo loves jigsaw puzzles, and he has been doing wooden jigsaw puzzles.

His latest favorite is the US map puzzle: http://www.amazon.com/Melissa-Doug-Wooden-Jigsaw-Puzzle/dp/B00000JBLI

He has a couple of Melissa and Doug 24-piece ones that are no longer challenging for him, so I bought some 48-piece ones. But he is not interested in them because they are not themes that he cares for.

He loves cars and trains. Any ideas for car or train jigsaw puzzles that are either wooden or printed on thick cardboard? I prefer something more than 24 pieces if possible.

P.S. I think we have owned all the Melissa and Doug car/train puzzles. LOL.

    Thanks!

    Thank you, Iucounu. You rock!

For some strange reasons, I am having a hard time with floor puzzles on the carpet.

You're quite welcome. My son loves trains, too, and I also got something out of it. I wound up buying that big 1000-piece one, the side view of the train-yard-- he's never tried a 1000-piece before, but that one seems to have a series of well-defined small areas that are like small self-contained puzzles. I am trying to teach him that he has no boundaries, so I plan to have him work on this, even if it takes a while, and I know his train mania will keep him at it. smile I think some of those kits look really neat, too.

I know what you mean about the floor puzzles on carpet. He generally has commandeered a section of the kitchen when he has worked on those.

Let us know how your son does with his 1000-piece puzzle.

The construction kits look cool. I might just buy some for myself.
